I guess that’s why the only way I can sum it up is to say: Yup, it’s a learning experience.. And the season’s really only just getting started. This, my friends, is an idea post. Not an execution post. And it’s about my giant chalkboard that I made a couple of months ago.. My giant chalkboard that I finally got hung up in the kitchen on the blank wall where I needed something cheery.

And then I left it there and did nothing.. I’m no great chalkboarder, you see.I tried a little quote up there, which I loved, but I did not love my handwriting.

So I took to the Google and looked up ideas.

I saw some where people had painted their bedroom walls with chalkboard paint and had drawn in the headboard and wall hangings and lamps, etc.monogrammed jewelry box.

would be awesome on her dresser too if I ever get around to picking up one of those vinyl cutting machines that I’ve been looking at for years!.We made sure to keep things from feeling too young, and too new for our 114 year old house by keeping lots of vintage-inspired elements in the room, big chunky baseboards, and the antique dresser too.. …and power cords of course.

Anyway, it’s a room we’ve all enjoyed hanging out in from time to time over the last few months.. All of us.. Well, it’s just such a cozy spot. How can you blame him?
